The Big Hairy Band
Biography
The Big Hairy Band play fiendishly catchy, twisted acoustic pop. Their
superbly crafted melodies and insightful lyrics weave intricately simple
stories of modern living.
Drawing influences from John Martin to Beck, The Pixies to The Pogues their
sound is thoughtful and intelligent, and ultimately British.
Live they play with an honest ferocity that drives through their music,
constantly pushing themselves and reinventing their songs on stage.
They are comprised of David Stenhouse (vocals, acoustic guitar), Buster
Cottam (double bass, backing vocals), Mark Treffel (keyboards, backing
vocals), Dan Clark (electric guitar) and Grant Allardyce (drums).

About the album
The new album is not just beautifully composed but also inventively
arranged, boasting the musicality of such household items as a pair of
chopsticks, assorted receptacles, a fire extinguisher, and an upturned
bicycle.
The album was recorded mostly at Round the Corner studios, with some
earlier sessions for 3 of the tracks taking place at Brickhouse and
Busters cupboard.
Promos have been circulating for a good few months now, and it won't be long before the album is released all proper like.
Quotes
"I love The Big Hairy
Band more than my own hair! Psychadelic sweet folk and tall tales told
in a charming Damon Albarn meets Nick Drake style."
Rob DaBank - Radio 1
"Perfect pervy pop tales of debauchery"
